Maryland flag colors
Maryland flies a heraldic banner rather than a seal on a field, which is why it works as a palette when most state flags do not. The four colours are the Calvert family arms in black and gold quartered with the Crossland arms in red and white, and the state specifies the two coloured ones in Pantone.
