US state flags
Most US state flags cannot be reduced to a palette, because most of them are a state seal on a coloured field and a seal is an illustration rather than a set of colours. Of fifty-one flags surveyed, five publish values worth recording. Those five are unusually well specified: California and Texas both name their colours against the Standard Color Reference of America, the same dyed-cloth catalogue that governs the national flag.
51 published, 4 of them with an official Pantone reference.
