Every color,
full screen,
instantly.
Free color tools that run entirely in your browser. Build a palette and see it on a real layout, blend a gradient, check a contrast pair, or look up a brand's exact colors with the source cited. And the trick that started it all is still one press away: any color, filling the whole screen. No sign-up, no popups.
- Fill the screen in one press
- Palette, gradient and contrast tools
- Brand and flag colors, sourced
- 142 named colors, every code
Fullscreen colors
One flat color filling the display, which is the fastest way to find what a picture hides. White shows dirt on the glass, black shows stuck pixels, and each primary isolates a subpixel the others cover for.
Color library
All 142 named colors, each with its codes in ten spaces, its shades and tints, the schemes built on it, and how it behaves against black and white.
Color palettes
Five-color sets built to hold body text and a background, not only to look good as stripes. Open any one in the generator and it is yours to edit.
Gradients
Finished CSS gradients under the names people actually search for, each with its hex stops and a declaration ready to paste.
Brand and flag colors
Official values for 286 organizations, teams, flags and decorations, every one cited to the page it came from with the date it was read.
Color tools
Build a palette, blend a gradient, pull colors out of a photograph or a logo, and check a pair against WCAG. Everything runs in your browser and no image you open leaves it.
Guides
What the tools are actually for, written by people who have cleaned a lot of monitors and lit a lot of video calls with them. Mechanism first, and the honest limits stated.
- Clean a monitor screen
- Dead pixel test
- Screen as a key light
- Bias lighting
- OLED burn-in
- Green screen setup
Common questions
- What is ColorScreens?
- A set of free color tools that run in your browser. Build and preview a palette, blend a gradient, pull colors out of a photograph or a logo, check a pair against WCAG contrast, look up the official colors of a brand or a flag with the source cited, or fill your whole display with any color.
- Is it free, and do I need an account?
- Free, with no account and no sign-up. There is nothing to log into, which is also why there is no cloud library: a palette you save is saved in this browser.
- Does anything I open get uploaded?
- No. The image tools read your file with a canvas in your own browser and the pixels never leave the machine. There is no server here to send them to, which is also why every tool keeps working with the network switched off once a page has loaded.
- Where do the brand and flag colors come from?
- Each one is read off a page published by the organization itself, and that page is linked on the entry with the date it was read. Where a color is published by name only, the value stays blank and the page says so rather than guessing.
- Can I use a color I picked somewhere else?
- Yes. Every color, palette and gradient on the site is copyable as hex, and the tools export CSS custom properties, Tailwind theme blocks, SVG and JSON. Nothing here is watermarked or licensed.
